Thank you for taking a look at our website, Doug Sculthorpe, President/Owner, got started in Home Improvements in 1980 at the young age of 18, originally from Livonia MI, a beautiful suburb of Detroit. With only 1 year experience Doug moved to the Chicago Area on his own at the age of 19, it was a much bigger market with more possibilities for business, with much ambition and hard work he never looked back. Doug is a self taught perfectionist, a very hard worker with a high level of attention to detail. Better House gets most of our work from referrals, fortunately this has always kept us very busy. We're very passionate about all types of Home Improvements and anxious to help make your house a Better House.
